Parish Religious Education Program (PREP)

Students in grades 1 through 8 who do not attend Catholic school where faith is taught in daily religion classes have the opportunity to have their Catholic faith nurtured by means of instruction in Scripture and Church Tradition, prayer, community, and service by trained catechists who work in two-person teams. PREP is available on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:45 P.M. and meets in The Commons throughout the school calendar year.

The fee for PREP is $50 per student, $150 maximum for any family. No child will ever be refused registration because of an inability to pay the registration fee. A waiver can be obtained by making your need known to Therese Carroll-Caruso. The fee is automatically waived for any child whose parent serves as a catechist or aide in the PREP program.

Parents who would like to home school their children in Faith Formation are invited to contact Therese Carroll-Caruso for materials and a schedule of sacramental preparation and other special opportunities that are open to their children’s participation.

The PREP students celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12th , learning the story about Mary and Juan Diego, making maracas and tissue paper flowers, and breaking a piñata for treats.
